From a sermon given on 11 June 2023:

For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed
(Romans 10:11)

To put somebody to shame is to make someone feel the negative emotion of shame. It's to make one feel inferior; to be so better or more successful than others as to expose their comparative inadequacy.

One of the most dreadful things among all human beings in equal measure is shame. But the writer of the book of Romans gives an antidote for shame ; believing in Jesus Christ. Whoever believes in Christ, instead of shame, will be partakers of the heavenly blessings that are wrapped in the gospel. Whoever believes in him shall not be disappointed nor ashamed of his confidence.

Satan may work overtime to ensure that our names appear in the list of shame. He would like us to live in scarcity, bring bareness both physical and spiritual, link us to scandals, bring embarrassment at our work places, cause separation and divorce etc. Let him know that he is already defeated because whoever believes in Christ will not be put to shame! In all these things, we are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus.
