From a sermon given on 31 March 2024:

And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
(Matthew 27:51)

After three years of person to person and inter-city evangelism, Jesus was crucified and declared dead on the cross .His burial was hurriedly done for more work was awaiting .One main activity, while his body lay in the tomb, was to visit the hades.

Between the time he died and resurrected, Jesus descended to the hades and there was massive evangelism. He liberates the likes of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, David and the rest of Old Testament faithful ransoming them from the power of Sheol. And the tombs opened up, and the bodies of many of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised, and came out of the tombs after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared to many.

There are some areas of our lives that may be in dire need of resurrection during these three days massive easter crusade. May the forsaken and forgotten "tombs" (our visions & dream, everything that has our name tag on) of our lives be revisited and whatever that got buried be exhumed by the power of his resurrection. May the divorced and separated families, rebellious children, skeletal finances, decomposing hopes and expectations be resurrected in Jesus name!

Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
