SCRIPTURE LESSON OF THE WEEK - 2013

07 January 2013

We see compromise around us everywhere. To the politicians compromise is a way of life. They have the belief that to get anything done you must compromise on everything, including your morals and values. We see this very same thing going on in all aspects of life, from schools to major corporations and everything in-between. Now seems, we even see the same thing going on within the Church itself. Many churches have compromised on Biblical teaching so as to become more attractive to those in the world. They have allowed marriage to become defiled by tolerating same-sex couples. They have allowed the murder of the unborn by looking the other way. They have even allowed practicing homosexual to become members of the clergy. All of these things have been forbidden by God, yet we see them everyone, even inside the church. They justify it by claiming it brings many more members into their churches.

None of their arguments really justify their actions. Nothing can ever justify compromising on Biblical teachings. We are to stand firm and follow God's teachings above all else and never bend the Word of God to fit the needs of ourselves or others. What God has said, we must follow.

For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
Hebrews 10:26

If ye love me, keep my commandments.
John 14:15

Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord. Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart. They also do no iniquity: they walk in his ways. Thou hast commanded us to keep thy precepts diligently.
Psalm 119:1-4

There are many types of healing, physical, emotional, and spiritual. God will, at times, let us experience an illness or other experience to bring us closer to Him or to get our attention if we stray in the wrong direction, and many other reasons. No matter what it is, we must pray to God and ask Him to see us through it and if it is His will to heal us of the problem. A friend of mine was recently diagnosed with cancer. Test after test showed it was there in full force. Then they wanted to do one more test before they scheduled him for surgery. When they got the results back the doctors were astonished. There was no sign of the cancer. They ran several more tests and they all said he was cancer free. He asked the doctor how can this be? The doctor responded back that obviously God has more work for him to do. And of course he took the opportunity to share with him about God and His Son Jesus Christ. This was a hard, but great way for God to use him to reach the doctor.

There are times that God will not heal us as we want, but this is because God wants us to learn something from our experience or teach us a lesson or even so we may set an example for others to see. No matter what, we must remember that God is in completely control and knows what is best for us. If you find yourself having a physical, emotional, or spiritual problem, pray to God and seek His wisdom and guidance.

The Lord will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness.
Psalm 41:3

(This is the same verse, but in the New International Version of the Bible):
The Lord sustains them on their sickbed and restores them from their bed of illness
Psalm 41:3

Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise.
Jeremiah 17:14

A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.
Proverbs 17:22

The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.
Matthew 8:8

But when Jesus heard it, he answered him, saying, Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole.
Luke 8:50

There are many who are true born-again in the Blood of Christ Christians who very rarely if ever attend church. They will come up with a number of seemingly valid excuses, such as, I am to tired, I have more important things to do, there is a movie I need to see, and so on. In reality, none of these excuses are valid. All believers need to attend Church. All believers are different and individual, yet are an essential part of the Body of the Church. We need to go with fellowship with other believers, to hear the Word of God preached, to be strengthened in our daily walk with Christ. When we don't attend Church, we lose out on the opportunity to associate with fellow believers and learn more about the Word of Christ and how we may apply it in out daily lives. If you are guilty of coming up with some lame excuse and not attending Church, now to the time to repent. Now is the time to increase your knowledge of Christ, strengthen your soul, and continue down that narrow path with Christ.

For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. For the body is not one member, but many. If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling? But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him. And if they were all one member, where were the body? But now are they many members, yet but one body. And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you. Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary: And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness. For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked. That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another. And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it. Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles? Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret? But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.
1 Corinthians 12:12-31

During the last several weeks, the Boy Scouts of American, has considered compromising the beliefs and moral teachings they have had since their founding. Likewise, in today's society, there are many organization that think nothing on compromising. We have even seen such a thing within the Body of the Church itself. Under NO circumstances are we ever to compromise on Biblical teaching. The ways of the world, especially when they contradict Scripture, are not for the People of God. We are to focus on God and not on earthly things. We are to do God's will for us and not follow the ways of the world. The ways of the world will lead to destruction and everlasting condemnation. The ways of God will lead to everlasting life n the presence of God. No matter what the world says or does we must NEVER compromise on what God has told us. The teachings of God, and God alone, are what we must follow and never compromise on the DIVINE TRUTHS He has given us. DO NOT be one who follows the world, the way of compromise. Instead be a follower of Truth, God's Truth!

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching; Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness. Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality. Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not. Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep. Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
Romans 12:1-21

In today's society everyone is so quick to blame their own shortcomings on others. Whenever something doesn't work out for them they quickly blame someone or something else. It seems to be the in thing to do today. But, is it the Biblical thing to do? The Bible, the Holy and Inspired Word of God, tells us that we are to take responsibility for our own actions. We are not to blame others for things that we have done. We should step forward and blame ourselves. After all whatever happened, we did it of our own accord, no one forced us to do it. When something doesn't work out, pray to God for guidance and so not put the blame on others.

For every man shall bear his own burden.
Galatians 6:5

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
2 Corinthians 5:10

11 February 2013

This Wednesday is the first day of the Lent Season, commonly referred to as Ash Wednesday. Many churches celebrate Ash Wednesday and Lent, and there are many that do not. No matter if your church celebrates it or not, there are things all of us need to consider and ponder as the Resurrection Day approaches. Many will fast and dwell on their wrongdoings and repent of them. Many will use this season as a time of renewal, a time to look at their walk in Christ and seek ways to improve it. Many will see this as a time to study the Scriptures and apply them in daily life. Others see this as a time for reflection on Jesus Christ, His suffering and His sacrifice, His life, death, burial and resurrection. The main thing to remember is we celebrate this time as a way of serving our Lord and giving thanks and prais for all He has done for us. We are not to use what we do as a way to draw attention to ourselves or get others to notice what we are doing. The Bible is very clear on this. How we behave and what we do during this time, as well as the rest of the year, we should do to give God all the attention and glory. It is for Him and not for us. Share this time and what it represents with others who are not Christian. Use it as a time to show an unbelieving world what they can have through Jesus Christ. Give all of the attention, glory, and honor to God and to His Son Jesus Christ. Be an example for the world to follow.

Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face; That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.
Matthew 6:16-18

Therefore also now, saith the Lord, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning: And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the Lord your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.
Joel 2:12-13

Many people have the erroneous notion that once they are saved, once they have been washed clean in the Blood of Christ, that the most important thing to do in their walk in Christ is to give and continue to give, and that the more they give the better their walk in Christ will be. This is not a Biblical teaching. In fact it goes against what the Bible tells us. Yes, giving and helping others is great, but there is something we must consider that is more important than anything else in our daily walk with Christ. Are we listening to His voice and doing His will? Are we doing what we are called to do or are we doing what we want to do? Listen to and obeying the Word of God is essential above all else in our daily walk. We must strive to do as we are called to by Him. Yes we must still give, we must sacrifice our time to sever others and spread the Gospel, but we must first listen to and obey the Word of God above all else.

… to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.
1 Samuel 15:22

For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.
Hosea 6:6

25 February 2013

There is a grave situation that is taking place. We see ministers in the pulpit that have become arrogant and prideful. They are teaching ungodly and non-Biblical doctrine and act like they have the authority to do so, even though they contradict the Bible. And if anyone challenges them, they suddenly go all holier-than-thou on them and accuse them of being influenced by evil. There is NO place with the Body of the Church of the Kingdom of God for this attitude of evil, the arrogance and pride. Likewise we see this same attitude going on within the government as well. Just a few days ago the federal government told a judge, " We can force your wife to violate her religion," ( See the article at: http://www.lifesitenews.com/news/obama-administration-to-federal-judge-we-can-force-your-wife-to-violate-her ). First off no one has the authority or right to make such a statement. There are laws in place that are to prevent this sort of evil. But obviously they believe they are above the law. Secondly it violates the Word of God. We are to do as God has directed us, even if man's law says the opposite. When a person or organization has become this arrogant and prideful in what they do and say, this shows the path they have chosen to take. The have turned their back on God and His teachings found in the Holy Bible and have chosen the rebellious and evil ways of the devil. We are to stand by God's Word no matter what anyone says and avoid and have no part of those who teach this evil.

Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.
Acts 5:29

Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.
Proverbs 16:18

Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished.
Proverbs 16:5

Many politicians as well as members of the clergy seem to be more interested in doing what they want and not what is right or moral. Wee see this on the increase everyday. They have allowed homosexuality, abortion, and a number of other immoralities and evil to come in. They claim this is best for everyone. They claim this has to be done so more will follow them and that this is what the people want. But is it really? Why have so many turned their backs on God and followed the ways of the world? The Bible warned us that this would happen, and that we would see it getting increasingly worse. This is happening because people have rejected God and His Word. They have embraced evil and closed their eyes to morality and decency. The Bible warns us, and Christ in His owns words warns us as well, that when we see these things take place that evil is running wild and that things would get dangerous for those of us who accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour. But, we are also told some great news, that the return of Christ is not far off. So as the world get crazier and crazier each day, let us thank God for His Word and for His Wisdom , and share with those who are lost and following the ways of the world what God has shared and given to us, that is there for their asking.

But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Matthew 24:37-39

And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.
Luke 17:26-30

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
1 Timothy 4:1

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
2 Timothy 3:1-4

There are many that reject God and His teachings. They know the truth and have turned their back on it. They want to follow the ways of the world, the ways of darkness. They want what they perceive as instant gratification, and they want it now. They have no idea of what they are giving up for something that is temporary and is not real, but is deception and delusion. Because they have rejected the truth and have freely decided to follow the lie. God has allowed even greater delusion to overtake them. As we can see looking around a majority of the world has turned their back on God, they insist upon follow the lie and have rejected morality and decency. The more they reject God the more they get caught up in the lies of the world. As Christians, we must stand firm in our beliefs and set an example to those who have turned from God. We must not give in or compromise Biblical teachings for the ways of the world. We must share the Truth of God's Divine Word and love with the world, even if they continue to reject Him and follow the father of lies.

Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
2 Thessalonians 2:3-12

A majority of the founders of the various cults have many times put themselves above Jesus. The founder of one of the larger more popular cults claimed this very thing and bragged about it saying, "I have more to boast of than ever any man had…I boast that no man ever did such a work as I. The followers of Jesus ran away from Him…never ran away from me yet.” Many times their teachings will clearly contradict those of the Bible. Yet they will follow the teachings of their founders and leaders because they were "revealed" in times after the Bible.

Not only do we see this attitude within the cults, but we are also seeing it in the world of politics and in the Church, the Body of Christ itself. There are many who have the belief that they are above the law and above the teachings of the Bible. The government has recently stated that individuals will be required to set aside their religious beliefs so as to follow some of the new rules and regulations it has set forth. In many churches we see their founders and leaders preaching on about non-biblical teachings and beliefs they are putting into place within the church, and have no care that these teachings violate the Word of God.

Those who have adopted this arrogance and attitude concerning themselves have not only put themselves above ALL Biblical teachings, but above God Himself, therefore making themselves an enemy of God and all He stands for.

The Bible has made it very clear that those who are guilty of these actions have placed themselves under the judgment and wrath of God. Their teachings are not to be listened to or followed. What they are doing is outside of the Body of Christ and the Word of God and that we, as Christians, are to have no part of it at all.

Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
2 Thessalonians 2: 4, 9-10

I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
2 Timothy 4:1-5

We see the government, special interest groups, political parties, and even the members of the clergy in some churches telling us what we can or cannot do and what we may or may not think about. They do not want us to think about if it is right or wrong, good or evil. Most of it however, is contrary to the teachings found in the Bible. They do not care about what we think or believe. We are not allowed to voice an opinion under threat of attack and/or ridicule in one form or another. They just want us to shut up and follow what they say. As a Christian, we are NOT to take this. God is very explicit that we are to stand up against evil. We are to voice what the Bible tells us no matter what they threaten us with. We must speak the truth and share it with those around us. By remaining silent, then we are taking a part of the evil they are pushing on everyone.

Abstain from all appearance of evil.
1 Thessalonians 5:22

Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?
Psalm 94:16

And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
Ephesians 5:11

01 April 2013

Years ago what the Bible teaches as being bad, evil, and immoral was not talked about in public. There may have been whispers in the closet or the corner of a room, but not loud enough for all to hear. Today however is a much different story. The Bible and all of its wisdom, teachings, and morals are being very openly attacked in public. It has gotten to where when someone sees someone carrying a Bible they ridicule them and their beliefs. What was once considered to be evil and dark is now being publicly broadcast and claimed to be normal and natural. They claim it is good and not bad. Yet the Bible and morality is being shunned and is being called old fashioned, outdated, bad and evil. How did the world turn upside down? It is because of the world's rejection of Jesus Christ as the One and Only Lord and Saviour. The world has rejected good and has sought after evil with all it offers. They have turned their backs on the truth and have been overcome by the lies and false pleasures that the world has to offer. But in the end, they will come to know the folly of their rejection of God and all he has to offer them. Those who have called evil good and good evil will feel the wrath of God. Those who have rejected God will experience Divine retribution and eternal damnation for what they have done. In this ever-growing evil and darkening world be a shinning light to those who need to know the truth and experience the ultimate truth that comes only from the Lord Jesus Christ!

Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
Isaiah 5:20

In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;
2 Thessalonians 1:8-9

The United States has made it perfectly clear that it wants to be included on the list of those countries that have rejected God. Just recently, the government listed Christianity as an extremist and terrorist group. The government has gone out of its way to force homosexuality on everyone and the mockery of marriage it is demanding. They have embraced the form of mass murder and serial killing known as abortion and are now trying to force everyone to participate in it, in one way or another. The government is attempting to force Christians to violate the teachings of God and do what God has called evil.

By rejecting God, they have invited the wrath of God to come down upon them. They have brought this upon themselves and now they will answer to God for it. If you are not for God and His teachings, then you are against him. If you are against Him, then there will be a great price to pay.

The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.
Psalm 9:17

Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
Romans 1:21-32

In today's world there are so many churches and religions, even those which claim to be Christian, that claim that more than salvation by grace through faith is required. They will tell you that it is by both faith and works or by works alone. If either of these statements were true, then Christ and the Bible are liars. Both Christ and the Holy Scriptures make it clear that we are saved by faith alone. If anyone else says differently then they are in error, and we are not to listen to their teachings or words. We are to point out their need for Scriptural correction and repentance.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Ephesians 2:8-9

Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin…Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law
Romans 3:20, 28

Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
Galatians 2:16

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee…
2 Corinthians 12:9

There is an ever increasing practice and belief among many Christians and the churches and church leaders seem to say little, if any, about it. I am referring to those who believe that just because they are born-again, washed clean in the Blood of Christ, that they can do anything and go anywhere and put themselves in any situation, and that god will protect them. They have tossed all common sense out the window. The Bible does tell us that God will watch over us, but it does NOT say that we are to go and deliberately put ourselves into peril and tempt fate. That is like stepping out into oncoming traffic in the middle of the road and standing there and not moving when a large truck is coming down at you. That is pure stupidity. God does not want us to test Him or test what He has said to us. To do so, we deny God, and makes us weak in our Belief and Faith in God. The Bible is very specific that we should not tempt God or test what He has said what we should or should not do.

Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
Matthew 4:7

And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
Luke 4:12

Ye shall not tempt the LORD your God…
Deuteronomy 6:16

Many people today, when difficulties or problems come their way, run around like a chicken with its head cut off. They run around trying to do and say anything and everything they can to resolve whatever it is. The more they run around, the more their situation seems to grow and multiply. What they forget is, God is there and He is in control. No matter what it is, we just need to get before Him and humbly pray for His guidance and wisdom and trust that He will see us through it. No matter what it is, God is there with us and will always be there for us.

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness
Isaiah 41:10

And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

One thing that is puzzling is the number of individuals and even churches which claim to be Christian and yet, do not believe in the physical resurrection of Jesus Christ. They will go on about how the Resurrection never took place, or that it did happen but only spiritually. They will even have the audacity to claim that the Bible even backs them up. The Scriptures they attempt to use to prove their beliefs are always taken out of context and are contrary to what the Bible really teaches. No place in the Bible does it state that Christ rose spiritually. The Bible clearly tells us that Christ DID rise from the dead in the same body in which He was crucified in. If someone or some organization claims to be Christian and yet denies the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ, they are ignoring one of the most important underlying teachings of Christianity, and as such and NOT really Christian!

And they told what things were done in the way, and how he was known of them in breaking of bread. And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit. And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts? Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have. And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and his feet.
Luke 24: 33-40

In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men. And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.
Matthew 28: 1-7

And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.
1 Corinthians 15:14

And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.
1 Corinthians 15:17

Many people and organizations make promises they never intend to keep, or for one reason or another they are either unable or unwilling to fulfill. We also see this same practice going on within the Church itself. As Christians, we must not allow this to take place. We must be responsible with what we say and what we promise. Whenever we make a vow or promise to do something, we must try to the best of our ability to fulfill what we said we would do. Failure to even attempt to is a sin, it makes us liars. It makes us just the same as those in the world who have gone against God’s Word and put their own wants, desires, and needs first. As Christians we must not fall into this way of thinking. We must keep our promises and do what we said we will. We must set an example to those lost in the world and show them how and why Christianity is best and is set apart from the world and its ways. Let us show the Light of Christ in our lives and do what we say we will.

Better is the poor that walketh in his integrity, than he that is perverse in his lips, and is a fool.
Proverbs 19:1

My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.
Psalm 89:34

And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
Colossians 3:23

While in the Garden of Eden, God clearly and plainly instructed Adam and Eve NOT to eat the forbidden fruit. Yet after Adam went against what God said not to do, when God confronted him and asked what he had done, he tried to pass the buck, to shift the blame for his actions onto someone else [Genesis 3:12]. He did not want to take responsibility for what he had done, even though he knew it was wrong, and tried to protect himself by passing blame for it onto someone else.

Likewise we see this very same thing going on today. We see individual persons as well as business, churches, and even governments partaking in this same activity and not wanting to take responsibility for their actions. They will blame society, their parents, and those around them. They have even stooped to such a low level of irresponsibility and to blame inanimate objects. For example when there is a shooting so many people are so quick as to blame the gun used. A gun is an inanimate object. It does not make anyone do anything. The person who used it made a conscious decision to pick it up and use it for acts of evil. They made the choice and the gun did not force them to do anything.

Everyone needs to start taking responsibility for their own actions, deeds, and shortcomings. They need to stop blaming others and things. By not admitting to and not taking the blame for what we have done and putting the blame on someone or something else is the same thing as lying. It is time to do the Godly thing and suffer the consequences for what has or has not been done. It is time to take a stand and do that which God Himself has told us to do.

And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.
Luke 6:31

Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
Exodus 20:16

Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.
Ephesians 4:25

Many individuals pray to God asking Him to show them what to do with their lives. When they believe God has revealed to them what He wants them to do, many people will question it. Sometimes the person themselves will wonder if it is of God or of themselves? I have often asked people who ask me this, and in return I will ask them, who does it glorify God or yourself? Many will sit there and think about it. That should be their answer right there. If it is of God and giving God all the glory will should know this immediately and say so. The next time you find yourself wondering if you are doing what God wants you to do, just ask yourself, who does it glorify, and you will know the answer.

Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
1 Corinthians 10:31

And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

Many question the importance of prayer. While others think it is something that must be always be done on their knees or strictly in church. All of these assumptions are wrong. Prayer is always of great importance. Prayer is not something to be done only in church. One can pray anyplace they want. You can pray while laying back in your bed at night, or at your desk at work, or even while driving your car down the road. Pray does not require you to have your eyes closed nor does it require that you always speak it aloud. If you pray just in your head, God will still hear it, as if you were speaking it out loud in a room or yelling it across a field. You can pray anytime you want and for anything. You can pray for guidance, seeking God’s hand in watching over you for protection, thanking God for all His blessings to us, and much more.

But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
Matthew 6:7

Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few.
Ecclesiastes 5:2

Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
Matthew 26:41

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Ephesians 6:18

Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
Romans 8:26-27

There are those who pray and pray but claim God never answers them. God ALWAYS answers all prayers. These individuals who claim God never answers them are either are not listening to the Voice of God or don’t like His answer and turn a deaf ear to Him. Many times people will be told to be patient and wait. But instead of waiting on God and His time, they try to do what they want (not what God wants) and do it on their own. Or they will be impatient and not like what God has told them, so they will go out and deliberately do something against God’s Word because they are angry at Him and feel the need to punish God for not giving them the answer they desire. In their minds they somehow have come to the notion that they are justified in taking these actions. What these people do not realize is that they are only compounding their problems and sinning against God. They need to cease these actions and comeback to God and His Word and Will. They need to get on their knees and ask for God’s forgiveness and wait on God’s time and stop trying to do everything on their own.

And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.
Acts 1:7

But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
1 Thessalonians 5:1

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Isaiah 40:31

Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.

There and many Christian individuals and churches, or so they call themselves Christian, that have adopted a holier-than-thou attitude. They think that because they are saved, washed clean in the Blood of Christ, that they are now better than everyone else. To them, if someone is not saved, not born again, then they are beneath them. If they are not part of their organization of “believers” then they are treated as if they are second class humans. This type of attitude comes from pride. The Bible warns us that this kind of pride is very dangerous and does NOT come from God. Since it is not from God, then it is therefore evil. And as evil, those who practice evil are outside of the will of God. Remember that none of us is any better than the other. We are all sinners. The only difference between real Christians and those that are of the world is, that we have Jesus Christ as our Lord and savior, and as such we have the assurance of eternal salvation with Him. We are NOT to think or act that we are better than everyone else. We are to be an example to the world and share the word of Christ Jesus with them whenever we can.

When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.
Proverbs 11:2

Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.

Many churches and ministers have erroneously adopted the belief that only the church and the ministers and other members of the clergy are the only ones who can grant forgiveness of sin. They teach that they are an intermediary between man and God and only through this then they may be granted forgiveness for their sin. In some cases before forgiveness is granted, you must first perform certain acts before you are forgiven and the sin removed. This is completely contrary to what the Bible teaches us. Through Christ and Christ alone, when we are truly repentant, may we receive forgiveness. We do not need anyone or anything to act as an intermediary between us and Christ. We can go to Christ ourselves and receive forgiveness directly from Him, without the need of man or the need to perform any special acts.

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
1Timothy 2:5-6

If we confess our sins, he [Christ] is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

It seems that in the world today more and more and rejecting God and turning their back on Him and on His teachings. No matter how hard we try to reach some of these individuals and show them that Jesus and Jesus alone, is the one and only way to true salvation, they just turn a deaf ear and ridicule the Bible. Many of these people who have rejected God seem to be following after the craziest things the world has to offer. Each day something more crazy comes along. In God’s Holy Word, the Bible, He told us that these things would happen and that those who have rejected Him would follow after more and more falsehoods or delusions. They care only about the here and now and what sort of instant gratification they may get. They do not care that it may last for only a few minutes or seconds, they just know that they want it now. They have no concern for the long term or about eternity. But no matter what, no matter what they reject God for and no matter what they choose to follow or believe, that does not mean that we are to give up. If anything, if our words do not reach them, then let us try to reach them by setting an example, by following the teachings of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! For some, this may be the only way to reach time before it is too late!

2 Thessalonians 2:8-12

Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample. (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:

A few years back, the Las Vegas, Nevada, tourist bureau came up with the slogan, “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.” And now it seems the world is adopting this very same attitude towards everything. Well guess what? They LIED to you. What happens there does not stay there. If you were exposed to a sexually transmitted disease, well when you leave and go home you still have it and are now spreading it to your spouse and who knows who else. You may do things that you think are secret and safe from anyone knowing. You may be involved in all sorts of ugly and disgusting perversions and think no one knows about it. You may have all sorts of secret sins and think no one sees. Well you’re wrong. Someone knows and someone sees everything you do. I am referring to God. He sees and hears all that you and everyone else does. What you do in Las Vegas, or anywhere else for that matter, God knows all about it. You may go to church every Sunday, pay your tithing, and take communion. You may give the impression of being the perfect Christian. But God knows the truth. He knows what you are really doing behind closed doors. He knows where your heart really is. God knows all things. With Him, there are no secret sins. People may think they are getting away with something now, but when they come before God in judgment all will be revealed. Nothing will be left in darkness, all will be brought out into the light. You need to stop what you are doing. You need to do a complete turnaround. You need to sincerely repent of these secret sins and give yourself to God completely. Not just on Sundays and in front of others, but at all times, even when you are away from everyone who knows you. You need to come to Christ and realize that He and He alone is the only one who can free you and wipe away all your sins. Time is running short so you need to act now and not later, when it might be too late.

For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known. Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.
Luke 12:2-3

If we confess our sins, he [God] is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1 John 1:9

Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

There are many individuals and groups which claim they are Christian, yet many things about them seem to contradict what they claim. They will know the right words and say the right things, but some of what they teach and practice is different from Biblical teaching. The Bible is very clear on how to discern between real Christians and those who just claim to be Christian. First off, take a look at their fruits (their works, what they teach and what they stand for). Do they completely follow the teachings of the Bible, or have they adopted things not taught in the Bible? Do their actions go against the Bible or go along with it? Most importantly, what do they teach concerning Jesus Christ? Do they teach that Jesus is the Incarnate Son of God? Do they teach that He took upon Himself human form, died on the cross for our sins, and rose from the dead three days later? Or do they teach something totally different about Christ? Do they teach that salvation comes from Christ alone through faith, or do they teach other way(s) in which salvation may be obtained?

If anything they say, do, believe, or teach contradicts the Bible, and if they do not acknowledge that Jesus came down to earth and took on a physical body, died on the cross for our sins, and rose from the dead three days later, then they are NOT of God. We are to have nothing to do with them or their teachings or practices. We must follow the teachings of God and put them into practice in our daily lives. Following and teaching non-Biblical practices takes us away from the true teachings of God and the more we practice them the further we are getting away from God.

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles. Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
Matthew 7:15-20

For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
2 John 1:7

And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

In today’s society, with all the fast paced rushing around, it is very easy for someone to become stressed. It seems most people get all stressed out and have a difficult time dealing with it and with the stress headaches that are associated with it. The Bible gives us several verses on dealing with stress and how to relive it and not let it bother us in the future. God’s Word, the Holy Bible, tells us that God wants us to rely on Him and cast all of our burdens at His feet and he will deal with them for us. Once we trust in God, we are to know that God will deal with it for us and no longer worry about anything. God will take away our worries and fears and replace them with release from our cares and have us once again in a place where He can use us.

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
John 14:27

Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

There are many who do not believe the Bible is the Inspired Word of God. They will tell you a bunch of men just got together and started writing it. Other will tell you that Paul wrote it himself. And yet others will tell you that a bunch of ignorant fishermen just got together and wrote it. None of which is correct or makes sense. If any of the above did write it what was the purpose? Many who followed its teachings were put to death for not denouncing their belief in its teachings. No one made any money or got rich off of it. If anything, many people lost everything for their belief in it. If the New Testament was written by a bunch of ignorant, then how did they know about and comprehend all of the teachings in the Old Testament concerning a Messiah? They wouldn’t have obviously. No matter what anyone says to discredit the Bible, they cannot. Those who try to find a way to something in it to prove it wrong have never been able to do so. Many will claim to find an error, but in the end the Bible is always proven correct.

Why do they do all of this in an attempt to try to discredit and destroy the Bible? What do they hate the Bible and all that is in it and all that it stands for? All of this is done because they do not like having something around that convicts them of their sin. They detest the idea of God setting down moral and ethical laws for them to follow and live by. They reject God, His teachings, and all that is decent and moral. They want to follow the ungodly and evil ways of this world and believe they are correct and those of us who are real Christians are wrong.

Well, they do have a surprise waiting for them. In the end, they will come to know the real and all powerful God. They will discover firsthand that the Bible is completely accurate and that hell is a literally place awaiting those who have rejected God and His Son.

But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.
Matthew 10:33

But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;

Just a few days ago we heard the President of the United States telling us that by opposing same-sex marriage that we are violating basic morality (see the article and video at: http://www.lifesitenews.com/news/obama-to-leno-opposing-same-sex-marriage-violates-basic-morality-video ). This is absolutely insane. It is this mockery of marriage by the homosexuals that violates all morality and decency. Real marriage, as God Himself has prescribed in the Bible, is strictly between a man and woman, and NOT two people of the same gender. In fact the Bible is very explicit about these types of relationship between two people of the same gender and God calls it an “ABOMINATION” I His eyes. Everything seems to be turning upside down. Good is called evil and evil is being called good. But in the end, those who reject God’s love and His teachings in the Bible will face the Final Judgment of God, and realize all too late what the consequences are for doing so. As Christians we must stand firm against this evil and proudly and boldly proclaim the Word of God above all else.

If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
Leviticus 20:13

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

Many question, as to when they pray, why God doesn’t answer them. On the contrary, God does answer prayers. Some of the times the answer is “yes.” At other times God’s answer will be “no” or maybe even “wait.” But to those who only want to hear a “yes” these are no answers and they ignore them. Those who ignore God’s “no” or “wait”, try to go out and do it on their own, or have something done their way, then wonder why it failed and why God let them down. It is not God who let them down, it is their selves that let them down for ignoring God. God has a reason for answering prayer they way He does. Sometimes we may never understand the reason but there is always a purpose for it. God has His own timeline for things that a majority of the time does not go along with when we want things done. When God tells us “no,” then we must venture into other directions and ask God to show us what He has for us. When God tells is to “wait”, then we must be patient and trust in the Lord and know He has everything under control and will see it through in His time and the right time.

Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
Psalm 27:14

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Proverbs 3:5-6

There are those who say Christ is not the way to salvation or that yes Christ is one of the ways to salvation, but there are also many paths that will lead you there. These same people will tell you that there is no place in the Bible that claims Christ is the only way to salvation and that Christ never many any such claims. There are many so-called Christian churches and organizations that will tell you yes Christ is the way to salvation, but you must also be a member of their specific group and be baptized into their origination. The truth is, the only way to true salvation is through Christ and Christ alone. You do not have to belong to a specific church or organization. You do not have to perform some sacred or exclusive rite. We are saved through the sacrifice and blood of Christ which was shed on the cross for all of our sins.

Christ Himself said:
But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.
Matthew 10:33

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

We have seen many presidents and other world leaders calling for peace and saying they are all for peace and will not settle for anything else. Yet where is the peace? There is no peace. It is as if they are constantly on the lookout for the simplest thing to go to war over. The more they call for peace, the more we see them waging war. This is because God is not in them. They have rejected Christ and the teachings of the Bible. They are only after their own desires. They’re claims of being all for peace is just an act to cover their own selfish and greedy desires. The Bible warns us that in The last Days we would see this, an increase of wars along this magnitude. It is time for those who have rejected the Bible and turned their back on Christ, to repent now and come back to God before it is too late.

For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

There are many who, when asked if they are a Christian or believe in the Bible, have come up with this, I’m not a Christian and don’t believe in the Bible, but Christians have a lot of good morals and teachings but it is not for me. They think that by taking this middle ground that they are safe and don’t have to worry about anything. What they fail to understand is there is NO middle ground! Christ Himself told us that you are either for Him or against Him, no middle ground. There is nothing in between. You are either with Christ or you are against Him. You are either one of His children or you are His enemy. One day, everyone will come to know that real salvation is found only by faith through the Blood of Christ! But unfortunately many will find this out when it is too late.

Christ Himself said:
He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.
Matthew 12:30

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

It is not uncommon to hear politicians and leaders of political parties say one thing and then turn around and do something completely different. In the world of politics this seems to be accepted as normal. But over the last several years we have seen this twisted type of logic and double-mindedness finds it way within the Church. We have seen the Church saying it believes in the Bible and all its teachings. Yet when it comes to living by what it says it believes, we see the Church many times doing just the opposite. We have seen individuals claim to be for marriage as God Himself has defined it, yet when confronted with the evils of the mockery of marriage, known as same sex marriage, they go along with what everyone around them is saying. Why? They are afraid to stand up for the Divine teachings of the Bible.

When it comes to standing up for life and speaking out against the form of mass murder and serial killing known as abortion, we see churches and individuals not wanting to get involved. Yet how can they not when the Bible clearly spells this out as being contrary to what God has said? This type of double-mindedness and double-standards goes against what God Himself has said to us. This is a form of compromise and compromise to God is NOT acceptable. We must take His Word for what it says and always apply it. Not to just when we want to or it becomes beneficial to for us, but all the time! When a person compromises on one thing, then another will come, and another after that. Stand up. Do not compromise on what God has said. You say you are a Christian, now live by what God has said and what you, as a Christian are suppose to represent, God and His Kingdom!

A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
James 1:8

Divers weights are an abomination unto the LORD; and a false balance is not good.
Proverbs 20:23

The same verse, but from the New Living Translation of the Bible:
The LORD detests double standards; he is not pleased by dishonest scales.

It seems that almost on a daily basis we see a new church opening up. A majority of these churches call themselves “Christian.” When you go into them they know all the right words and quote appropriate Scripture, but something doesn’t quite feel right, something is missing. It’s not a physical feeling. It is a spiritual one, an all important one. Anyone can quote Scripture. Anyone can say the right words, but when the Spirit of God is absent, there is something wrong. Without God’s Presence and His Spirit, a church is worthless. They can go through the motions. They can bring hundreds into church. They can have some really great programs and outreaches but, without God they are meaningless. They deny the REAL power of God. They give themselves all the credit and glory, and forget about God. God and His Spirit is a MUST for any Church. Otherwise, the church is just a showcase, a façade. As such, it should be avoided.

Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Many have noticed that for several years now there has been a drastic increase in the numbers of earthquakes and other natural phenomenon, including and not limited to famine and pestilence. Not only have we seen an increase, but the intensity and frequency of these has been increasing as well. We have heard such nonsense from so-called experts that this is due to the hoax of global warming. The earth, who they call Gia, is upset with mankind. And I have even heard some say it is aliens from outer space trying to rid the earth of humans so they can inhabit it. Of course none of these are correct. It is God telling man that His patience is running out. Christ Himself told us we would see an increase in these things as the last days approach.

For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.
Mark 13:8

For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
Matthew 24:7

The CULT of Global Warming and its FALSE PROPHET are back at it again. They seemed to have disappeared for most of the summer but are back at it once again. Sprouting their false doctrines and predictions that never come about. When one points out the snow and rainfall we have been having and the recent relatively mild summer, they want us to ignore these facts and tell us everything is heating up and the polar icecaps will melt and flood the world, destroying everything. They want us to take their word over everything else and not question them about anything. The Bible warns us about these types of groups and their teachings. The Bible tells us to prove (test) all things, search the Scriptures to see if what we are being told or taught is correct. Furthermore God Himself gives us the promise that the Earth will never again be flooded. When God makes a promise, it is ALWAYS KEPT. When you hear the fear tactics of this and other cults being preached about by their members, don’t let what they say worry you. Many of these groups make claims that contradict and go against the teachings of the Bible. As such, we are to have nothing to do with them. God and God alone is in control of everything. Not some false prophet or his followers. God will watch over you and protect you. You belong to God and the promises of the Bible are yours, as long as you stay faithful to Him and do not listen to and give in to the falsehoods being touted about in the world.

Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
1 Thessalonians 5:12

…searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
Acts 17:11

And I will establish my covenant with you, neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.
Genesis 9:11

We see a lot of evil being done in the name of God. But this evil is not being done in the name of the God of the Bible, it is being done in the name of the god of this world. Many groups that claim the Bible is old fashioned and outdated claim to be doing so in the name of the spirit of this age, the spirit of the world, the god of this world, Etc. None of these are the God of the Bible. It is just the opposite, they are all names for Satan. That alone discredits anything they say or do regarding God, the Bible, and Christian teaching. As for the Bible being old fashioned and outdated, God never changes and neither does His Word. What the Bible says is just as valid today as it was when the words were being written down. Those who call it old fashioned and out dated do so as a way to justify their sin and rebellion against God. The serve the one who was cast out, Satan. The God of the Bible always has been and always will be the one and only true God. Him and Him alone is the one that we are to follow.

In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
2 Corinthians 4:4

For I am the LORD, I change not…

The Bible tells us that God WILL watch over and protect us. Whether we know it or not, God protects us from things all the time. A majority of the time we do not even see what He is protecting us from. Occasionally we do see when the Hand of God reaches out and protects us. I just experienced this on this past Monday. The car I was driving was T-boned by a 17 year old kid who ran a stop sign. As his vehicle made contact with mine, I was being pushed into the oncoming traffic. Somehow I managed to find the strength to keep the steering wheel turned to the right and was able to prevent myself from being in the middle of the oncoming traffic. Of my own strength and with a bad shoulder, I know there is no way I could have been able to hold and force the steering wheel to go in the direction I needed. This was obviously God giving me the strength needed to prevent anything much worse from happening. Fortunately I came out of it with just a lot of sore muscles and some bruises. The police officer that was on the scene even commented about how lucky I was to avoid being in the middle of the oncoming traffic. This was one of the visible ways we see in how God protects us. God watches over us all the time and will see us through anything that comes our way. If we are faithful and trust in God then His promise to watch over and protect us is all around us. But even if something bad happens to us, God is still in control and has His reason for what we are going through. Know that God is watching over you now, and tonight, and tomorrow.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Psalm 46:1

And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
2Timothy 4:18

But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.
2Thessalonians 3:3

Around the world in so many rich countries we see people living on the streets, people wearing rags for clothes, and people starving with nothing to eat. And yet in these same countries we see people with so much money that it would take many lifetimes over to spend just a fraction of it. Do they do anything to help? Sure they may put out some money to help here and there, but to them it is just a small help and usually does not make much of a difference. They do not care about those in need and desperate for help. They are more concerned with the accumulation of more and more wealth. To them it has become an obsession above all else. What they fail to realize in their blindness is this accumulation of wealth and material things is pointless. They will never be able to spend it all, and in the end, when they die, they are not taking it with them. God entrusted them with this vast wealth and they abused the gifts that God has given them. They are going the way of the Rich Man in the story of the Rich Man and Lazarus. If we have extra and see someone in real need for help we should follow Christ’s example and see what we may be able to do to help. We need to show the world what real Christianity and Christian charity is all about. Be a representative of Christ and not of the world.

For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
1 Timothy 6:7

There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence. Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house: For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.
Luke 16:19-31

There are many who claim to be Christians, especially politicians and others in places of authority. Yet, a lot of what they do is very contradictory to the Bible and its teachings. It seems that almost all of their actions and practices go directly against what God has told us what we, as Christians, are to do or not to do. If they are Christian as they claim, then how is it that all of their actions go against everything that Christianity and the Bible stand for. First off, no one knows the true hearts of anyone except for God. But God, through His Words in the Bible, did give us some things to watch out for as an indicator as to where their heart and true intentions really lay. Do they profess that Jesus is the one and only True Incarnate Son of God and that He and He alone is the one and only way to salvation? Do they take the things that the Bible calls evil and try to persuade others that there is nothing wrong about them? Do they twist the meaning of Scripture to suit their own needs? Do they try to force their own ungodly teachings and practices on others? Do they want to take away the individual’s freedom to think for themselves and impose their will on them? Many people profess to be a Christian, but using God’s Words of warning and His Divine insight, we will be able to see through those who claim to be and are not, and avoid their lies and false teachings.

For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
1 Corinthians 2:11

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
Matthew 7:15-20

For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.
2 Corinthians 11:4

There are many organizations and churches that call themselves Christian, yet, their teachings, beliefs, and practices, seem anything but. They all make claim to be the one and only true church or organization of god, and that all others are wrong and full of error. A majority of these groups will also have their own special “translation” or “version” of the Bible. They claim, that their founder(s), under inspiration by God, made these changes to correct errors that found their way into the Bible when it was being translated into English. The interesting thing is that these “corrections” they make only deal with the Scriptures that go against what the group is teaching and practicing, and they “corrected” them to support their own doctrine. These CULTS are very dangerous to everyone, especially to those who know little or nothing of what the REAL BIBLE teaches. God Himself gave us very explicit instructions and warnings about adding things to or taking things from the Bible. Those that are guilty of doing so, have a special place reserved for them in hell!

For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
Revelation 22:18-19

There is a false teaching going around in various communities that seem to be infecting many churches and many Christians. There are those who believe that they are God’s tools for ushering in the Tribulation period. They have read all the prophecies in the Books of Daniel and Revelation pertaining to the end-times, but in their mind things are not happening fast enough, or as they think they should go, so they have come up with the notion that they are to be God’s hand in getting things going. Well guess what? If you are one of these, you are NOT God’s Avenging Angel. You are NOT God’s hand in ushering in things. You are NOT to make or force the Tribulation or end-time prophecies come about. You ARE however, guilty of violating the Word of God. You ARE guilty of not trusting God and letting God do things according to His own timeline. You desperately NEED to repent of your evil ways and come back to the real God and His TRUE teachings. You NEED to understand that God is in complete control, and has His own timeline to do things in. You NEED to trust God completely and rest assured that He will take care of everything.

Wait on the LORD, and keep his way…
Psalm 37:34

Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
Matthew 6:34

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
Ecclesiastes 3:1

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

There are many churches of various denominations who have individuals that make a really big show when they pay their tithing to the Lord. Some even go around and tell how much they give each time, as a way to show off to everyone else. These same individuals, when fasting, will also go and make a big show and deal out of it. All of this to just bring attention to themselves and make themselves feel big and important. There are some churches who every year will announce during the middle of the church service who has paid the most tithing that year and have them stand up so the entire congregation may applaud them.

The Bible makes it clear that tithing should be done anonymously, sincerely, from the heart, and not as a way to bring attention or tribute to ourselves. Fasting also should not be done to draw attention to ourselves. Not only do these defeat the purpose of tithing and fasting as described in the Bible, it take us from receiving our blessing and rewards from God. When we make a public show of things, then we receive our rewards from man. But when we do them with respect, sincerely and anonymously, and not draw attention to ourselves or make a big show of it, God will reward us. I would think that a reward and blessing from God would be far superior to anything that man can give to us.

Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven. Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly…Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face; That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly. Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Matthew 6:1-4; 16-21

One thing that many people forget is that God is in completely control and knows exactly what he is doing. God may tell us to do something or causes something to happen that may not make much sense to us at the time. That is when people start questioning God and wanting to know why He is allowing things to go the way they are. We have no right to question God or what he does and does not allow to happen. He knows what he is doing. He has a plan. It may not make much sense to us, but everything God does and allows to happen is part of His plan. Maybe days, weeks, or even years later we may see why things happened the way they did and it all makes sense to us then. Then there are times we may never understand why things followed the path that they did. A good example of this is you get an advertisement in the mail for a very economical and very price effective infrared heating until that is large enough to heat one room. Even though it is something you may only use a few times during the year on the coldest of days you go ahead and get it. You have it for several years. People that you have told about it may not understand why you got it when you will only use it once in a while. Then one really cold winter day your main heating system stops working. The repair technician says it will take about a week or so for the parts to come in and then they will have to schedule a day to come and replace the defective parts. So you may be without your main heating for over a week. Good thing you bought that small infrared heater when you did. Now that is your main heating source and what is preventing you from freezing or having to go and get a hotel room for a week or more. God sees ahead. He knows what will happen before it does and before we do. He wants us to listen to Him and what He tells us. He wants us to be prepared for obstacles that will cross our path. Remember this and listen to God’s voice for He will always take you down the right path and into the right direction.

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Proverbs 3:5-6

As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all.
Ecclesiastes 11:5

Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.
Psalm 147:5

We hear so many politicians calling for peace, yet all of them are so eager to wage war and cause death and destruction. They will use a variety words and excuses in an attempt to justify their actions, but when it comes down to it, nothing really justifies what they are doing. It is the evil within these men and their desire for control. Power and control is what they are really after. A type of power and control they can never obtain. What they fail to realize is that God is in total control. God and God alone has the ultimate power and authority over all. Nothing, but nothing is greater than Him. We are to acknowledge God and His power and authority above all anything and everyone else.

For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
1 Thessalonians 5:3

Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.
Matthew 26:52

God makes us this promise regarding the violence and war that is within the world:

And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
Isaiah 2:4

==============================

Many at times have doubts about what they are doing or on plans they have made. They start to double think what they are doing and question everything around them. Their minds are in a state of confusion and turmoil. Whatever they think or do, they are uncertain if they are doing the right thing. People love to give advice, and just as there are many different people, their advice will be just as different and varied. But no matter what advice people give, none of it feels right. As Christians, we have something those that are unsaved in the world do not have. We have a relationship with Jesus Christ. As such we have a unique gift from God that only His children have access to. If we ask God for His guidance and to show us His will, He will guide and lead us in what we do. By trusting in Him, there is no need to doubt what we are doing or to double think our actions. He will always guide us into the right direction. He will never lead us wrong. He is in control of all things and knows what is best in us. If you have questions or doubts seek out God’s guidance and wisdom and he will show you the way to go.

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Proverbs 3:5-6

And the LORD shall guide thee continually…
Isaiah 58:11

It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes.
Psalm 118:8-9

Many show no gratitude towards God at all. The things around them they take for granted. They grumble and complain for the want of more. Some will even blame God because they do not have what they think is enough. They fail to realize that all that we have is from God. Without God we would have nothing. God supplies all of our needs, food, shelter, clothing, etc. As long as we remain and truth in God He will provide for us as He sees fit. We must be grateful for all that God has provided for us, and not take anything, even the smallest of things, for granted.

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:19

Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
Ephesians 5:20

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

There are many churches and organizations that claim to be Christian and yet have teachings that gifts in any form are of the devil and that we should have no part of them. They come to this false teaching by taking the factual story of the head of John the Baptist being requested as a gift in Mark 6:14-29 out of context and twisting what is really being said here. Nowhere in the Bible is the giving of gifts condemned. In fact, God is about giving gifts. He gave us His son Jesus Christ. He gave us the gift of Christ’s sacrifice upon the cross. He gave us the gift of Salvation by Grace through Jesus Christ. The Wise Men brought gifts to Christ at His birth. God gives us gifts in various forms. Gift giving must always be done in the properly. It is not to be done to make ourselves look good. It is not done to boost our ego or that of anyone else. Gift giving is to be done out of love and generosity without expecting anything in return.

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
James 1:17

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Ephesians 2:8

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Acts 2:38

When we become born-again and are washed clean in the Blood of Christ, we become a new creature. We cease to become what we were and are now one in the Body of Christ. We are not to dwell on the past and what we use to be. Instead, we are to dwell on Christ, our life with him, and strive to be as Christ like as we can be. We are to study the Word of God and pattern out new selves and new life after it.

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
2 Corinthians 5: 17

And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
Luke 9:62

Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
Philippians 3:13
