From a sermon given on 11 December 2022:

He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.
(Luke 16:10)

One of the lessons Jesus taught from the parable of the shrewd manager is proper use of resources. Every believer is a steward of both spiritual and physical resources that God has given. All our worldly wealth belongs to God and men are managers.

The way a man uses small amounts of wealth is an indicator of how the same will use much wealth entrusted to them.. Those that are not faithful with little will also not be faithful with much. If one is a poor manager of a few resources, chances of them mismanaging enormous resources are high.

If you are faithful with small amounts of money, the Lord will trust you with much more, including things of priceless eternal value.

For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him
(Matthew 23:12)

Further readings:

If thou wert pure and upright; surely now he would awake for thee, and make the habitation of thy righteousness prosperous.
(Job 8:6)

And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more. His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord…His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
(Matthew 15:20, 21, 23)

And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man's, who shall give you that which is your own?
(Luke 16:12)
