THE MINDSET OF A CHAMPION

From a sermon given on 09 November 2025:

Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied. This day will the Lord deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.
(1 Samuel 17:45-46)

David wasn't the biggest, strongest, or most experienced warrior on the battlefield - but he had the mindset of a champion. While others saw a giant too big to fight, David saw an opportunity too great to miss. His confidence wasn't in his sling - it was in his Source. His victory wasn't won with weapons - it was secured by his faith.

Champions think differently. They don't let fear speak louder than faith. They don't measure battles by size, but by purpose. David had already won the fight before the first stone was thrown - because his mindset was already anchored in God's power, not man's strength.

You may be facing a "Goliath" in your life today - a problem that looks impossible. But remember: giants fall when we show up with bold faith and speak with conviction. Champions are not born - they're built through courage, conviction, and complete trust in God. Ask yourself: Am I thinking like a victim or a victor? Like a coward or a conqueror?

The right mindset will carry you through every battle. Speak faith. Stand tall. Trust fully. Giants still fall when God is with you.
