From a sermon given on 21 April 2024:

His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
(Matthew 25:23)

"A faithful person is he/she that Is faithful in transaction of business, execution of commands, discharge of official duties, reliable and dependable. However small we think our role is, we should understand that it's a matter of utmost importance and eternal significance" (Brian Thiessen)

Jesus taught that those who are faithful in taking care of whatever riches or material things they have been entrusted with them, they qualify to handle more. The servants who had used their talents well were rewarded. Because they had been faithful with a few things they were made rulers over many things.

We must be good stewards of whatever God has entrusted us with. The person who is faithful and trustworthy with small matters will be trustworthy and faithful in large matters. We must be good stewards of that "little" salary, that "small" job, house, plot, farm and those "few" things that God has given us to manage. If we are faithful with few things, God will make us rulers over many things.

Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.
