FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is it true that during communion the bread and wine become the body and blood of Christ?

The answer to this is NO! The bread and the wine are just that, bread and wine. They never become the body and blood of Christ. There is no magical or supernatural metamorphosis here. They stay bread and wine and are only a representation of the body and blood of Christ which was shed for us upon the cross. The Bible speaks very clearly on this:

And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.
