FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I have been told that baptism is a requirement for salvation. What does your church believe on this?

No where in the Bible does it ever say that baptism is a requirement for salvation. The Fellowship of Christ International believes that water baptism, whenever possible, should be done by complete immersion. It is a sign of a good conscience towards God, and to the world a sign of one's belief. Baptism is NOT done as a requirement for salvation, but as an act of obedience unto the Word of God. If baptism were a requirement for salvation, then we would be saved by works and not by faith. The Bible clearly tells us that:

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Ephesians 2:8, 9
